I am deeply interested in how ethical and political views manifest themselves aesthetically in the optics of an artist: through their choice of form, color, brushstroke, and other speculative expressions of their creativity. I am also drawn to the spectacular, theatrical aspect of art, particularly the phenomenon of the comic and the nature of humor.

I strive to use my drawing technique as broadly and freely as possible, ranging from subjective, “purposeless” autofiction to commentary on literary and historical texts, places, and events.

For the artist, an exhibition should be a cohesive statement; for the viewer, it should be an experience to remember. It may be built around a clear, specific narrative or be assembled as a puzzle made of contradictory images, but underlying consistency and logic are essential. At the very least, this is something worth striving for.
